Title: Development of green campus in schools of Manipur, Northeast India.

Project Objectives Quantifiable Deliverables
Cultivation of at least 20 biologically and economically significant plants in the campus of 5 selected schools of Manipur in the form of mini botanic garden Five schools of Manipur will establish green school campus by planting economically important indigenous plants as mini-herbal garden that act as a centre for biodiversity study for students and teachers.
Creation of awareness amongst students and teachers about the importance and conservation of biodiversity. Tree species cataloguing to be used for educational purpose
Providing sheds, enhance aesthetic look of campus and checking of noise pollution through plantation and make available the fruits of the trees to the students and teachers for consumption. Students and teachers from other schools will visit model gardens as field study tour and replicate at other places.
Awareness will be created amongst students and teachers about the biodiversity and their conservation through lectures and essay-spot-painting competitions.
