Project Objectives Quantifiable Deliverables
Survey, identification and assessment of Noctuid moth (Noctuidae: Lepidoptera) diversity. GIS mapping of Noctuid moth species forecasting future distribution patterns of selected species of moths and associated vegetation of the Chirpine habitat.
Biodiversity analysis to determine the threat status of the Noctuid moths. Evolve Habitat Conservation Strategy and identify moth species sensitive to environment/climate change in the Chirpine forest of Jammu province and taxonomic status of the moth species.
To study associated vegetation, habitat preferences and correlate distribution patterns of moth species with environmental factors.
GIS mapping of Noctuid moth diversity of the Chirpine forest of Jammu province.
