Project Brief Description: Pine needle are treated as problem in study area and domestic waste water effluents are the problem worldwide as it is one of major source of addition of contaminants in ground and surface water along with the soil contamination. Proposed work, on one hand provide another use of pine needle for water purification and also provide an eco-friendly solution of domestic waste water problem through recycling it. It will be eco-friendly as it involves remediation through plants also. Proposed Outcomes of the projects (in bullets)
• A new use of pine needle as source of activated carbon will be developed as currently wood-based charcoal is more popular commercially, at least in water treatment systems.
• Waste water treatment system will be developed for recycling of domestic waste water effluents.
• Due to the use of phytoremediation step, greenery will also increase at the site of treatment system.
• After successful testing in case of real system, the recycled water could be used for irrigation or toilet purpose of the basis of its purity.

Expected Project Impacts
Domestic Wastewater effluent treatment system at small pilot level will be developed and demonstrated, which might be replicated at larger level. If the setup will be successful at larger level then it will be possible to reuse the domestic waste at point of domestic wastewater generation level for its use for garden irrigation or for toilets etc.
Beneficiaries/ Stakeholders:

As all the living beings are suffered by water pollution, so all will be benefitted, and it can also water problem to the small level by use of recycled water at the same place.
