•To develop and serve as a Regional Resource Centre of on-site Models Demonstration and Trainings based on State-specific needs for sustainable development and management of alternate livelihood options and natural resources;
• To serve as Educational and Recreational Centre vis-s-vis Conservation of Wildlife and Nature in sync with Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE);
• To prepare the Baseline data/ information;
• To harness available Indigenous/ Traditional Knowledge System/ Database, Repository and Library;
To create a Cadre of Master Trainers among community people, leading to conservation actions & capacity building for self-sustainability of the NLC beyond the NLC duration;
• To select and engage interested and natural resource-dependent user-groups/ community people from functional EDCs/JFMCs for trainings and promotion of sustainable livelihoods and Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE);
• To train/ demonstrate/ disseminate Models through well-designed, robust portfolio of conservation/ training programmes for long-term Conservation of Nature Resources and Mitigation of Climate Change Impacts;
• To promote conservation of endemic/ rare/ threatened/ endangered species and other natural resources at risks;
• To maintain knowledge-sharing liaison/ relation with other Him-NLCs in IHR and other projects supported in the State;
• To develop and establish ground linkages for promoting LiFE, involving partner institutions like State Biodiversity Boards, Horticulture Dept., etc.;
• To Serve as a store house for data related to State-specific conservation needs;
• To create dissemination materials based on state-specific needs and its natural resources management sustainably;

• A state-of-the-art Regional Resource Learning/ Interpretation Centre;
• Green energy/ Solar-powered Ex-situ Sites for demonstrative conservation and management of representative species (rare, endemic, threatened and economically important ones) and natural resources like like Development of Nature Orientation-cum-Green Zone (as proposed), inclusive of Development of Butterfly garden, Herbal garden, RET species garden, Bambusetum, Arboretum;
• Infrastructures relevant to meet the NLC objectives towards enriching the visitors’ learning & experience (e.g. signages, exhibits, 2D/ 3D models, interpretation centre, museum, Amphitheatre, solar-powered system, public amenities, etc.).
• Digital Him-NLC Database Repository along with a Reference Library including herbarium;
